Prevent Blindness Texas Names Aydin Wayne Davis State Winner of “Most Beautiful Eyes Contest”

National Winner to Receive a $10,000 Educational Scholarship

Houston, TX (Sept. 20, 2012) –Prevent Blindness Texas is pleased to announce that Waco resident, Aydin Wayne Davis, has been voted “Most Beautiful Eyes” for the state of Texas.  Through the national contest by Prevent Blindness America, Davis received the highest number of online votes between August 1-31, 2012.  The photo gallery of all state winners can be found at: www.preventblindness.org/2012-most-beautiful-eyes-state-contest-winners.

Davis, and all state winners will receive a free pair of Eagle Eyes® OpticsRock-It™ Sunglasses for Kids that includes a kids’ Fisher®Space Pen.  State winners will advance to the final round of judging for a chance to win a $10,000 educational scholarship.  The first 50 national entries to the contest received a free pair of RKS Sunglasses.

The national winner will be determined by a celebrity panel of judges that includes ORA TV’s Larry King, “Fox NFL Sunday” Host Curt Menefee and legendary performer, Barbara Eden.  The national winner and two family members will enjoy a weekend in Chicago to attend the Prevent Blindness America Annual Awards Banquet on Friday, Nov. 2, 2012, where the scholarship will be officially awarded.  The scholarship prize has been made available by Marchon Eyewear.
