11th Annual Houston Eye Stroll for Vision

Mark your calendar to join us at the Houston Zoo on Nov. 20, 2021, beginning at 7 am, for a spectacular stroll to support Prevent Blindness Texas. The 11th Annual Houston Eye Stroll for Vision is an event for the entire family, groups of friends, and even teams of coworkers! Enjoy a morning stroll among the animals, refreshments, goodie bags, entertainment, and a chance to win awesome prizes while raising money for critical, sight-saving services!

Women’s Health and Vision Symposium

Join Prevent Blindness Texas on December 2, 2021 at the Houston Health Museum for an evening focused on highlighting women and discussing how to empower women in their eye health and overall health. This will be an opportunity to candidly discuss how women navigate the healthcare system, both as a doctor and patient. Women’s health care has made great strides in the past two decades. The recognition that women have different health care needs than men has enabled changes to take place in clinical care, research, and education. However, much remains to be done.

Come join Prevent Blindness Texas, Jan. 28, 2022, beginning at 7 pm, for an evening of learning and engagement at the Witte Museum. Learn more about PBT and our partnerships in South Texas to deliver care to the most vulnerable populations. Also hear from Dr. William Elizondo, Optometrist and advocate, about his life long career in the profession.

Dark Dining Houston

Prevent Blindness Texas is excited to host Dark Dining Houston Thursday, March 3, 2022, at Morton’s Steakhouse. The evening will include a, silent auction, and three-course dinner with wine, while guests participate in a sensory experience designed to educate individuals about vision loss.
