Children's Programs and Services The "Star Pupils" program, our organization's children's platform, is designed to educate parents, teachers, school nurses and the general public on children's vision issues and arm them with information they need in order to protect their children's eyes at play and school to ensure a lifetime of quality vision. Starpupils.org provides useful sight-saving information about their child's eyes including children's eye health and safety educational information, vision screenings and trainings, and referrals for eye care services. Adult Programs and Services Prevent Blindness Texas provides adults and seniors with information and resources to help protect their vision and improve their quality of life. We educate adults about the risk of eye disease and the need for regular professional eye care, and we support the relationship between a patient and his or her eye doctor. We help identify adults at risk of eye disease and vision loss through certified vision screenings, trainings and referrals for eye care services. Read More |
Request Our Vision Screening Services Nearly half of the 50,000 Americans who lose their sight each year did not have to go blind. A screening does not replace an eye doctor’s exam, but it can help identify people who are at risk for eye disease. Finding eye disease early saves sight. Request Prevent Blindness Texas to participate in your upcoming health fair/community event to provide vision screenings or an eye health informational booth. Request Our Eye Care Referral Services Through a partnership with OneSight and VSP, Prevent Blindness Texas is dedicted to improving vision for children and adults by providing eye care referral services, for those individuals who do not qualify for related social services and provide eye exams and/or eyeglasses to those clients who qualify.
