Rosanette and Harry Cullen to be honored at the third annual Eye Ball on February 10th
HOUSTON–Set your sights on the 2012 Eye Ball, set to take place on Friday, February 10th at 7 p.m. at the Hilton Post Oak Hotel. Now in its third year, the annual event is committed to honoring individuals who have dedicated their lives to helping others while raising money for those in desperate need of eye care.
More than a million American adults are blind. Many millions more are threatened by debilitating eye diseases; in fact every 11 minutes another person goes blind. The Eye Ball presents an exciting collaboration between two non-profit organizations—Prevent Blindness Texas and Houston Eye Associates Foundation—which share a vision of helping the less fortunate.
The Eye Ball, along with Prevent Blindness Texas and Houston Eye Associated Foundation, is setting the new standard for inventive and effective fundraising and awareness for this cause. Both organizations work for those in our community who are in need of eye care and prevention programs.
Honorees Rosanette and Harry Cullen will be recognized for their lifetime commitment and contributions to the visually impaired community. In addition to recognizing these gracious individuals, The Eye Ball will benefit those less fortunate with eye care assistance by providing eyeglasses, vision education, screening services, and surgical care (retinal detachment, cataract, glaucoma, prosthetics, strabismus) for hundreds of adults and children in Houston and surrounding communities.
