The Prevent Blindness Texas Healthy Eyes Program Seminar builds awareness among your clients, co-workers, employees or cohorts of eye and vision basics, age-related eye diseases, eye safety precautions and proactive behaviors that give the best chance for a lifetime of healthy vision. Each new “Healthy Eyes Advocate” will be equipped with:
• Healthy Eyes Program power point modules, presenter guide, accompanying educational fact sheets, and evaluation materials so you may conduct one-on-one patient education.
• Adult Vision Screening Certification to participants who successfully demonstrate their knowledge on the importance of regular eye examinations, subject evaluation and effective follow-up.
Through the Healthy Eyes Program, thousands of people you serve in your respective communities will receive sight-saving education, vision screening and guidance on accessing care, reducing the number of people suffering from potential devastating effects of age-related eye diseases.
